Source capture (Romag Aquacare)

To prevent any risk of water contamination, monitoring at the source makes it possible to identify potential pollution upstream of distribution to the network.

Romag Aquacare, in partnership with the Fribourg School of Engineering and Architecture and the SME Earlybyte, is working on an innovative system for settling spring water. The water is collected in a receptacle that continuously gathers data on the water (turbidity, pH, temperature, conductivity, etc.) before transmitting it to the network manager.

If pollution or abnormal data is detected, the system automatically shuts down the source concerned.

A first prototype will soon be installed on the ALTIS water network.
